Carbon Filtration Systems

Carbon Filtration Systems

Our activated carbon filtration systems remove organic compounds, free chlorine, and chlorinated chemical compounds that spoil the taste, odor, and color of water, with a high adsorption capacity. Our tanks, equipped with premium activated carbon mineral with a high surface area, neutralize chlorine that especially damages Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes, providing odorless, clear, and high-quality water production for your industrial processes.

Product Description

Industrial carbon filtration systems work on the principle of physicochemical adsorption by passing water through a coconut shell or coal-based, highly microporous granular activated carbon (GAC) bed. This special mineral bed with a large surface area is the most effective and natural solution for removing chlorine, chloramine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), pesticides, and substances that give water undesirable color, taste, and odor.

The automation of carbon filtration systems, which stand out with their fully automatic structure, is managed by time- or flow-controlled automatic valves. Sediments and particles that accumulate over time in the activated carbon bed are lifted and discharged to the drain line through the system's periodic automatic backwash process. Thanks to this smart cleaning mechanism, the lifespan of the mineral bed is extended, and the system continues to operate at its day-one performance without the need for human intervention.

Advanced carbon filtration systems raise the quality standards of process water in sensitive industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and chemicals. They also protect sensitive Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes from oxidation damage caused by chlorine, significantly reducing your facility's total operating, resin, and equipment costs.

Activated Carbon Filtration Systems for International Buyers

Designed for chlorine removal and organic adsorption, our activated carbon filtration units are produced on demand and exported to clients internationally, with carbon replacement guidance provided in English.

How Do Carbon Filtration Systems Remove Chlorine and Bad Odor?

+

The microporous structure of the activated carbon mineral absorbs free chlorine and organic odor compounds in the water and binds them to its surface (adsorption). Thanks to this physicochemical reaction, the water's chlorine smell, taste, and turbidity are completely eliminated.

Why Are Carbon Filtration Systems Used Before Reverse Osmosis?

+

Chlorine in the municipal water supply causes serious chemical damage to the sensitive membrane surfaces in Reverse Osmosis systems. Carbon filtration systems completely retain chlorine at the pre-treatment stage, preserving the membranes' lifespan and reducing operating costs.

How Often Should the Activated Carbon Be Replaced in Carbon Filtration Systems?

+

Fully automatic carbon filtration systems clean the coarse sediment accumulated in the bed through a daily automatic backwash process. However, when the chlorine adsorption capacity of the activated carbon mineral reaches saturation, the mineral needs to be renewed. Depending on the water's chlorine and organic matter contamination load, mineral replacement is recommended on average every 1 to 2 years.

In Which Industries Are Industrial Carbon Filtration Systems Preferred?

+

With their high absorption power, carbon filtration systems are widely preferred, especially in food and beverage production, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, textile factories, hotels, and all industrial facilities requiring sensitive treatment, to obtain chlorine-free process water free of odor and taste.
